Triop? No! Its A Pink One!

Some people might remember my post about Triop.L and Triop.C and as such would know im really into Triops! well i did mention some Triop.c eggs which i got hold of which were pink Triop.C...Well........hehe!!

She is still only a few weeks old so has some time to go before adulthood! i exspect her to get to about 3inchs, im hoping to get lots of eggs from her aswell and reporducing loads of them!

Come on i want to know what you think! its taken me 3 attempts to get them to finaly grow abit! so far the hot weather has killed of all Triop i have tryed to raise!

I had those and "Sea Monkeys" when I was about 8 (before I had fish)

Nope, theres like 15 different species i know of, and probs loads more! this is Triop.Cancriformis mind, the one you saw in tesco was Triop.l

I couldnt even begin to tell the difference between Triop something and Triop something else but they are all so cool

How long do they live...? I vaguely remember it being longer than a year and I really don't need a 3rd tank to lug too and from the uni house over summer. But would be very tempted if they only live for a few months (say 6ish).

Cool color, now dont these also eat brine shrimp? I bet that would enhance the red color.

They do yes, however its never affected there colour, luck of the trade im afraid to say! ive had a more pinker one but it did die young, this ones colour will enhance as it gets older, at the moment its only half the pink colour that it will soon become!
