Tri Eggs

Yep remove the white dot ones :good: tri's eggs go darker the more they develop :)

Good luck in hunting for a tank, nope they dont really need a light

Thats what I figured, will have a peek at tanks while out today for the new fry. They wont need a lid right? I can possibly pick up a cheap 2.5 or 5 gallon rectangle but wont have a lid. Some of the eggs are getting a white dot in the center, remove those right? The rest are still a darker beige color.
why don't you get a couple of those plastic storage tubs?

They have them in my local supermarket for a few pounds - 80L, 35L, 20L, I'm sure you'd be able to find something similar :good:

After looking at prices on small tanks I think you have the way to go coldcazzie! I will have to try one of those. May look and see what I already have here.

My sponge filter for their tank is a diy one with .5 in pvc drilled and it is a bit tall for the containers I think. Will it still filter if the top where the bubbles come out is out of water?

Got up this morning and checked my eggs and I have around 11 that have hatched!! The final count of good eggs is 41. The ones that have hatched are the 11 that fell off the glass onto the bottom of the tank too, was expecting those to fungus! They are all hiding under the sponge filter but with a flashlight I can see them moving! woohoo!!! :hyper:

Edited to fix pre-coffee spelling

Well, all eggs have hatched and the underside of the sponge filter is full! Picked up a 19L tub today that will be tall enough for the filter and give them more water and space on bottom. Just have to ok it with my other half to move the 'real' tank out and have this on the counter.

Got the ok! What would be the best way to transfer them? Going to do this in the morning. Im going to keep all their water too and then add a bit of fresh so should I just siphon them into the tub with the water? would that be safe?

Fab news :hyper: :good:

I transfer fry with use of a turkey baster, excellent at moving them around, just make sure theres none left inside after :good:

Sounds good!! Had to buy some more play sand the other day to top off all my tanks from losing it during w/c's over the past year and they didnt have the same and what I got is soo much nicer I want to change it all! It is going to make it so much easier to see them as they blend in with the sand they are on now, it has a ton of dark and black in it.

Thank you! :) They are at it again today! Dont plan on saving any this time though, we will see how this batch goes first! The albinos spawned again last week and then this morning!! Im thinking theres something in the water
