Treating Myself To A Good Canistar Filter..

so its my birthday in a couple days and i always get a good chunk of money, since im re-doing my 33 gal in a few weeks i thought i could up-grade from a aqua-clear 50 to a canister filter for my tank and possibly put the aquaclear into the 10gal im cylcing right now. im clue-less when it comes to this stuff so what would be some good brands and styles to look into??

Generally look at Fluval, Rena and Ehiem. Although the new Tetra range seems ok (not any experience with it though). Ehiem are industry leaders but i'm a fan of all three.

Have to agree, absolutely brilliant, great value for money, mines runs silently and plenty of room for media. Well worth it my opinion.
