Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommend a place online where you can purchase traveling supplies for bettas or tropical fish(ei, transport bags, heat packs, etc)?

I'm going home to Miami, FL for the holidays and have the airline's ok to take my bettas on the plane. They will fit in my personal item, a back pack. I've transported fish before, but there aren't any places in Champaign, IL that sell that sort of stuff, so online is my best bet.

I'm only taking my 6 bowl bettas for Thanksgiving, a sort of trial run, since I'll be there for 2 weeks.

Thank you very much in advance. Links are welcome. :)

sorry i can't answer your question but perhaps you can answer something for me. how did you get permission from the airlines to fly your bettas? my parents are moving to florida next summer, 3000 instead of 60 miles away from my university so i'll have to take my bettas with me when i go "home" to florida.

Make sure you get it in writing from the airline that it is ok to bring them on the plane--the show Airline-or Airplane on A&E had something like this happen--the person was told the/she could bring something on the plane and when the person got to the check-in window they said the person could not take the little animal on the plane--turtle or something like that--not something that would run around. So to be sure they are not going to do something like this to you get a letter from the airline stating that you can do this.--Just making sure you and the little fish get there altogether.

Jackpot Fawnmodel. You rock!

Fishmom, I did ask for written confirmation, but thank you for your concern. The travel agent will give it to me when I pick up my tickets. I'm also traveling with a small dog, so I'm pretty sure she'll get all the attention. Half the time I have to take her out, not for security, but so the security guards can pet the little puppy. Something about CiCi just makes them want to pet her. Well, she is cute.

Nino, well I'll let you know how everything works when I travel. They really stressed that the fish be out of site, so the plan is to have them in bags in a lunchbox. They probably won't even know they are there. They will not take up extra space, the dog does that already, and I usually have to pay a baby fare or something like that for her.
