So since i spent some time researching Betta's, I think I am ready now to make my purchase. But I have a concern question. Since I will be taking public transportation I will need about 1-2hrs to reach home. I understand Betta's are sold in cups, so I am wondering if i tell them to place it in a bag will that be okay?? It is also cold today -1c/30.2f so i will place him/her in a nap sack to prevent wind. Is this a bad idea or shall i wait for a ride out??

Another option is to put the bag inside your jacket. Your body heat will keep the betta warm.
Only don't do what I did a couple of years ago with my bolivian rams. The bag was inside my jacket but I had hold of the top of the bag. On the way back to the car, I slipped on some ice, I went flying over onto my back and the hand holding the bag went up into the air and smashed the bag down onto the ground. There I was crawling round on the ice screaming - my fish, I've killed them while my husband was trying to pick me up thinking I'd broken a leg at the very least. The fish in the bag went very quiet, before I fell I could feel them moving round. I checked them when I got back to the car - two pairs of eyes peering at me, gills still moving. They were just a bit shocked, and were fine the following day.

wow that's a heck of a story sorry to hear that happened to you :(
I wen't to the mall to buy a betta, but i didnt get it because some of the public transportation's weren't running. So tomorrow I will be getting it for sure. However i looked around and saw they had this aquarium for half the price. It even comes with free Betta food if i purchased a betta from them. Do you guys think it is okay for a single betta? it says it has a filter behind too.

I actually am saving up for that for one of my boys - I love that tank

Yep and it seamed so silent at thw store not a single trickle. Will post pics when everything is ready.

Okay so I got my new betta and he's all setup in the Fluval Spec. But I noticed the pump it has is way too strong for him. Also I'm not sure how exactly its filtering the water. Its suppose to suck water from below the pump but all I see it doing is spinning theb water around in a circle. Any one have an idea? Will post pics soon :)
