Transparent Cover For Small Pond

Are there any transparent matte covers that can be used on a small raised 4.5ftx3ft pond? The purpose is to reduce evaporation and prevent kids climbing in while not reducing visibility. Was hoping to leave a bit of a gap so condensation doesn't build up too much under the transparent cover.
 
I know twin wall polycarbonate sheets will work but the fish won't be clearly visible. Have previously had very poor results with acrylic covers on nano tanks as these warp in a few weeks (perhaps due to heat and condensation).
 
Not sure the answer to this, as many acrylics are damaged by UV radiation.
 
 
I will be interested if there is a solution.
