I've been considering having kuda seahorses in my new tank for my pin cushion urchin (writing up the profile for the reidis stirred up old feelings lol . The problem is, this urchin was in with my last horses (about six months ago) when they came down with a bad bacterial infection (vibro) which killed all four horses. I was wondering if the urchin would be a carrier for the vibro, and if QT-ing the urchin would reduce the risk at all.
Unfortunately, the cases I've been reading, vibro doesn't need syngatheids in the tank to stay alive. Nothing short of bleaching the tank, and destroying all livestock in the tank gets rid of it.
The horses will just have to wait for my third tank....
