Hi
i was just wondering if it was safe to put action figures or legos in an aquarium. also if there is some way to seal them with silicone or another substance it would be appreciated.

thanks

Lego is safe, quite a few members have made Lego themed tanks, but couldn't say on the 'action figures'.

As long as they are plastic, have no glues/paints/stickers, no excessively sharp bits and no bits that could come off and be swallowed they should be fine.

As for sealing with silicone, yes you could but why?

many action figures have metal springs and connections. not to mention voids that will fill with water, and never cycle their contents.

so I'd say no to "action figures".
unless you seal them that is.
but as Aqua says,
yes you could but why?
plus they will float if you seal them properly.

I just want to make sure the fish are safe

what, in case Scuba Action man goes all Harpoon style on their arses? What a stupid thing to put in with fish :D

Tizer how rude!!! Everybody decorates their tanks differently! :hyper:

yeah but action figures? I honestly half expect the next post to have a picture of Ken and Barbie in a car sat at the bottom of a tank.... We take fish out of the wild, the least people can do is attempt to mimic a natural habitat. :|

I agree with Tizer, just my personal taste but I hate these toys, when I see them for sale I cringe, when you visit this ocean world type places you don't see daft things like this in the tanks, they have them looking natural.

I want to see ken and barbie in somebody's tank really badly now

There is a clear coat that is used on aquarium decor in the tv show Tanked. I'm not sure for that name but there is one and it is safe.
