Do you think you've just about got it sorted out now?

Yer I hope so I'm still getting the smell but only when I water change, I am no longer getting visible gas bubbles or trapped waste. A lot was getting caught under the hardscape which is a shame as I don't know whether I'll ever be able to put it back in

Woohoo things are looking up, gas problems seems to have gone now Here's an pic of after today's replant and trim. I'm still gonna keep the rocks out for now and just enjoy it finally without any issues
