I know ANOTHER (stupid) question from HER haha!!
Well I was topping up my tank as the evaporation had made my salinity rise a little to 1.026 when I was wondering about temperature. Now I know for water changes the right temperature is essential but for adding say 1 litre or so of water is it still essential to heat it to the right temp? Just heating 2 litres of water seems sort of a pointless task lol!
Cheers!
I promise less questions!
P.s woody, I havent posted much today

There will be some temp change as a result, but it's never measurable for me because the tank and room temperatures are never all that far away from each other. 1L of water into a giant tank won't make a dent even if it's iced. It would be like putting one or two ice cubes in a gallon of water, which is why the frozen pop bottle trick for dealing with heat waves only works on fairly small tanks. Just don't dump cold water directly on an animal.
