Hello,

Am looking to get a couple of top feeders and wondered what the options are. I am aware of hatchet fish and love them. Just wondered what other options there might be.

My tank is a peaceful community tank stocked with mainly tetras.

Thanks

Martyn

A comprehensive breakdown of your stocking might help others here. If your tetras were deep bodied like Bleeding Hearts for example, I would have no issues suggesting Golden Wonder Killifish, which will readily eat small torpedo shaped fish. ;)

Pseudomugil furcata, the Forktail Blue Eye Rainbowfish, might fit the bill.

I was going to suggest qolden halfbeaks but i would imagine a fully grown angel fish might eat them. celebes halfbeaks are bigger and very interesting if your tank is big enough (which i should be if you have angels) :good:

Oh those Pseudomugil furcata are beautiful. Having just acquired my other Blue Eye Rainbowfish (no idea which species specifically), I seem to be developing a fondness for these lovely fish.

Wonder where I could buy some of those.

Angels are actually quite small at the mo and I fully expect to have to rehome them later when I acquire a larger tank (something I am beginning to plan for already). These fish look fascinating. Thanks.
