I always do . I generally have so little to crow about that The Great TFF Forum always hears about it . This place is my own little aquarium society and fish nerd network being in the backwoods of the hobby where I am .Whatever you do, please post your progress!
For those aren't offered that much till even none through retail.You sure about that? Don't see anything on the other four.(I'm not being sarcastic, I'm genuinely curious.)
First of all you need to know that within the Poeciliidae family are livearers and egglayers. The egglayers are all killifish. In the past, it was thought that multiple livebearers found in the wild were similar to killifish. More livebearers in the wild were therefore identified as killifish untill they knew that they didn't lay eggs. But the name "Killi" is coming from an old Dutch (ancient Dutch) word "kil" (pronounced the same way as the English word "keel"), which means ditch or small stream.why are they called a killifish ? Is that the proper classification or did a wrong name stick ? What’s the lowest temperature they can stand ?
This is because they're superfetative.No babies yet, as I've been(besides the one they came with). If you get them yourself, you should know they give live birth to fry across days one at a time rather than the whole batch all at once.
I really have to update this list. And I'd like to add the following as well to the smallest livebearers: Poecilia scalpridens and Quintana atrizona. These and the ones already mentioned by @fish48 are the smallest livebearers.heterandra fomosa males 20mm females 35mm,
poeciliopsis prolifica, males 20mm female 30mm,
phallotorynus jucundus ---- 20mm ----- 25mm,
neoheterandria elegans 18mm 20mm,
poecilia minor 17mm 20mm;
Very similar to H. Formosa are neoheterandria elegans Not so easy to keep , New born fry so tiny they look Almost like splints of glass.
If you like livebearers, then please consider following my profile. My next new project is a 40 gallon sailfin molly estuary pond.This is because they're superfetative.

I also like to mention that I had females of the Poeciliopsis profilica that have reached 40mm. All of these mentioned small livebearers are superfetative livebearers.
I'm a huge fan of livebearers ever since early 1970's...If you like livebearers, then please consider following my profile. My next new project is a 40 gallon sailfin molly estuary pond.
