Top Aquatics In The Uk

Maidenhead Aquatics near Nottingham is excellent. Good selection, clean and well kept tanks, healthy looking animals on display and staff who actually know what they're talking about. All in all, easily the best place near me, though because of the distance, not the one I always go to.

Maidenhead Aquatics in Taunton, they are fantastic :D . The place is clean, the tanks are clean, no dead fish, no diseased fish. The staff is great and happy to answer any questions and fully keyed up on everything and are so friendly as well. Me and my girlfriend go to no other place, mainly as all the others are just so bad, boardering on fish hell.

The Goldfish Bowl in Oxford, its a bit pricey but excellent knowledge good fish, never seen any dead fish in there tanks, great selection of fish,

Cheers Gordon

Can anyone recommend any in south east Kent? (please not S.... E... W.... G.....!!). My lfs are great for the commoner fish, such as guppies, cories etc, but I want to set up a nano tank now, and when it comes to stocking, I will need all the help I can get, and I want to meet the fish in person before I choose!

Ditto.

Aylesford aquatics is meant to be good, if you really want to get some certain fish the make oyur journey up to Wildwoods.

 Does the Goldfish Bowl have rareities at all? this is near me! and i have seen it advertised as a high standard aquatics in 'Practical Fish Keeping magazine', but i havent yet got to visit it!
Is it large?

This is great! So many Aquatics being listed!

Sometimes you can miss the best ones as they are hidden away, or there sites online are not that fantastic so what a better way to find them than through reccomendation!

Keep going! This is good work!

Cheers!

yes they usually have some oddballs in, although its not a massive shop they have plenty of tanks to look at, try and avoid at weekends if you can, especially saturdays as parking can be a pain as you have to park on the street, also they are in the top 20 in the pfk magazine in aprils issue page no 112 also there is a little write up on page 116 about the shop and their filtration system.

Here is a link to the site, which im told is going to be updated in the next 5 weeks also

The Goldfish Bowl

PFK issue 3/march in their shop tour guide visited a shop in Wigan, (are you there Ferris) and they rounded up by stating
"There were lots of fish that we had never seen before, even in books. highly recommended!"

edit; oops forgot to name the shop. its called 'Pier Aquatics'

Pier aquatics is fantastic. can't praise it enough. If you get the chance go.

It's a good 40 minute trip on the motorway for me to get there but it's always well worth the trip!

atlantis aquatics in great yarmouth are good and very helpful bought some lovely plants 3 weeks ago and they are thriving :good:

Whereabouts in Enfield is Crewes Hill? Is it anywhere near Bush Hill Pk (nrEdmonton), does anyone know?
How long is it possible to transport a fish for? I'm going to Enfield soon, (grandparents live there), but its a good 2 hour drive home again. :/

Silly question  ...is Aylesford aquatics in Aylesford?!

hate to say it twice, but wholesale tropicals is amazing, great plant and fish selection, even some amphibians and stuff, they had an almighty puffer in there when i went, and a huge fire eel, best fish shop ive been too, the service cant be matched either, and their daughter who works there is charming, great that they give her a job and that.

Maidenhead Aquatics in Morden, Surrey is good too... clean tanks, varied selection of fish and again, knowledgeable staff.. ! :)

If you're after a detailed list of LFS check this for the UK and this for the US

Wildwoods is about 50 mins drive from me. would the fish be ok if i purchased anything from there to bring back?
