Hi there,

Just out of interest... i am searching upon top aquatics around the UK. i travel to go and see worthy aquatics, although i am sure there are many i miss, so therefore i have posted this to see what people come up with!

If i were to be asked..... i would nominate Sweet Knowle Aquatics.
-extremely clean
-excellent service
-fish last as they are fully quarinteened and cared for!
-lots of choice

So there we go i have started this post and i hope i run into many i havent visited and also provide some reccomendations to other fish lovers!

Thanks :good:

Wildwoods is good for bargain hunters(guppies, clown loaches, anglefish),pleco and oddball fanatics! :good:

Yes i went there last weekend and was quite impressed! lots of different species to choose from

Willing to travel to Devon?

if so Aquator intorquay is immense not onedad fish there ever clean tanks no algae. very good service very knowlageable and very kind. cheap and expesive in area's

Oasis in Salford Manchester, if you live in the area it's well worth a visit whatever type of fish you are in to (including marine). :good:

Maidenhead Aquatics at Stapleton, Leics.

Excellent shop, friendly knowledgable staff and I haven't had a bad fish from them yet.

Can anyone recommend any in south east Kent? (please not S.... E... W.... G.....!!). My lfs are great for the commoner fish, such as guppies, cories etc, but I want to set up a nano tank now, and when it comes to stocking, I will need all the help I can get, and I want to meet the fish in person before I choose!

i also like Wildwoods as i keep apistogrammas, they have quite a good selection and i wouldnt go to Wildwoods and not take in Wholesale Tropicals, Bethnal Green Road, Central London, they are very good.
PFK issue 3/march in their shop tour guide visited a shop in Wigan, (are you there Ferris) and they rounded up by stating
"There were lots of fish that we had never seen before, even in books. highly recommended!"

edit; oops forgot to name the shop. its called 'Pier Aquatics'

Hmm - Wigan is not far away - may have to check out Pier Aquatics. Thanks thegnu :good:

I found out about this one a few days ago, I go to Wigan regular but I never knew there was a Aquatics shop there. Plan to take a trip there soon :)

Wildwoods is great, but leave your credit cards and cheque book at home or you may end up spending a lot more than you intended, the selection of rare and unusual fish available is excellent and its easy to get carried away and spend a couple of hundred quid on fish.
