What do you mean recycle? Was the tank already cycled?
I do agree with Wills i wouldn't of added fish that fast there must have been a reason why all the fish died.

Yes, the tank was cycled. I just did a 95% wc last night and haven't added any fish yet. Will wait till tommrow.
have the fish I bought in a 35 gallon for now !

the jewel isnt new world as you already know probably, even so i have tried a jewels and convicts but in the end i could only have one of each in a 55 due to aggression hope it works though and in a 90 like u said then will be fine im sure, also convicts are more aggressive so hopefully a fire mouth will make it easier but i found the jewel to be the more aggressive fish, hope it works ok

No need to recycle if you have another mature filter. Just move the fish into the 55gal with the Filter from the 36 gal run the 2 filters together. then after a few weeks the filter for the 55gal will be good to go on its own. Then you can put the filter back on the other tank.

Or you could Seed the filter with a sponge or filter Rocks. Tske some mature Filter media and add to the filter that needs to be cycleds. Because no way if you cycle from Scratch will your tank be ready for fish in a week or 2. it takes a month.

Sorry about the lose thats not good. Sounds like something more was going on. Did you check your water to see what might have been the reason they got sick? any signs they were not well?

Sounds like you are going to have to sort out your stock down the road. I don't see all thoes large fish fitting in your tanks long term. It stinks to have fish for a year and have to let them go. Or maybe that just me. Good luck.

Still sounds like your rushing to me. I'd avoid buying new fish into your tanks untill your sure whatever caused your fish to die has fully cleared. Patience is everything, don't be hasty. If there in another tank i suppose they should be ok providing the systems arent linked in anyway, i'd be reluctant to add fish back to the 55 a day after, regardless of a 95% W/C. Give it atleast a week, for the fishs sake!

Let me just update everyone for what I have done today.
I decided to sell the tilipia, jack dempsey in the 150 because they are too well let me say stupid for me to keep and I don't like them.
So in the 55 I will have 3 firemouths, 1 cory cat, 1 oscar, and 1 syno eurptis for about 3-4 months. Then they will go in the 90.
Right now I have the oscar, cory,syno in the 35.
I added the green terror and jewel to the 150 for life.
I like cory cats, I was given a albino cory cat for free. I might want to get more.

Quick Update.....
I tested water all week parms always kept coming at 7.2.
So on Thursday I added the firemouths.
Last night I added the oscar, and cory.
Today I bought a small royal green terror and some more unided cories.
Fish are fine and firemouths have loads of orange on them.
Glad to have nice healthy fish agian!
