Tonic Heater possible problem?

I noticed that i have whitish coloring on the glass tube at the bottom and middle of my Tronic heater.
Is is condensation?

I emailed Hagen, they said send it in for repair....but i cannot afford to remove my heater.
It's still keeping the temp and working perfectly, but i don't want it to fail or explode or something.

Consensation in the heater is usually a weak seal somewhere. I would remove the heater. You would to if you have ever experienced one getting stuck 'on'. Your fish can live without a heater but they can not live in water that has boiled from a faulty one.

Yeh, a bad heater is bad to have, bad for fish, bad, bad bad...

Be careful, a weak seal can easily turn into a faulty seal, allowing water into the electronics, which can cause a short circuit.

I went to my new favorite store and got a new heater.
They give you an xtra year warranty on everything..no questions asked.
Doing the change tonight.
I will deal with Hagen later
