Tolak's Pizza Thread

I am actually having Pizza tonight, but from the supermarker :). They're actually really tastey Pizza's. When I went to italy I visited a few real pizzeria's, being British I went in and asked for Pizza and Chips. The waiter didn't speak a word of English, So I had to point, well when the pizza came back, he had cooked the Chips ON the Pizza lol. But they were very very nice Pizza's out there, and I agree it is one of the nicest foods :).

There’s a neighborhood place called S&T Provisions, sells among other things pizza setups. You get the pre-rolled dough, sauce, cheese, and any of a variety of toppings. I generally opt for a sausage setup, with an extra half pound of cheese as well as sausage;

Start with the sauce;

This is not as easy as it looks, supervision is required;

Next the sausage;

Then comes the cheese, the upper right hand one has some Italian pepper from the garden;

Into the oven they go, 450F for around 12 minutes, longer if you pile more goodies on them. The wait is killing us;

One done, one cooking, one waiting in line;

Ever try to take a picture with one hand while eating pizza with the other?

With the extra cheese & sausage it ends up being around $16 total for three 12” pizzas. These are better than many takeout pizzas, fun to make, and as customizable as you want to get. They are great for getting kids involved, dogs take care of any stray ingredients (somehow I always miss!) and are as cheap as it gets for really good pizza.

T, I can't see all the pictures for some reason, but what I can see looks REALLY YUMMY!!!

I was in Cortina not so long ago and I'm not exactly the biggest fan of pizza. However the only restauraunts near by where either salad/lasagne and Pizza. Needless to say I hate 5 pizzas in 3 days.

I became addicted to them after the first slice on the first day, it was delicious. I wasn't even bothered by the fact there was charcoal all over the base, I couldn't believe how tasty it was. The funny thing was I watched the guy make it and when he came over he told me he wasn't the chef as the chef was "Out for lunch" he was just a barman!

Barman like that could certainly make a top quality pizza place in the UK though.
