It’s National Dog day. To celebrate the day, if you have a dog, posts some pics or videos of your beloved doggie!

Also consider entering your doggie or any other pet except fish in our Pet of the Month contest which will start accepting entries in mid September.

This is Achak. He is 10.5 months old. He is a log walking super dog. For him the most joy he gets is out of walking along logs.

Swimming sucks but wading is good on a hot day.

I prefer the high road when I have a choice.

Dad makes me wear this stupid tether thing when we go to the park. I like looking down on him, it's about eight feet to the ground here. Dad was really nervous the first time I climbed out here but now he doesn't care anymore and lets me climb to the end when I want to.

I have always like having a dog with me in the bush, Achak is the most sure-footed dog and bush capable dog I have ever owned. He is also the most stubborn and independent dog I have ever own. His natural tendency is to stay with the pack, never getting out of sight of us.

I wasn't aware of this special day until this morning when one of my neighbours was giving treats to passing dogs and their owners...
Unfortunately, I don't own any dogs anymore. But I'm okay with it. But I still miss my dogs for a serious number of years now.

Here's to my good ol' girl Honey- RIP. She was the best dog ever- 14 years of bliss with her. So fun and loving. She greeted me every afternoon with the same enthusiasm as if I had been gone a long time. Such solace on tough days.

Her patches seem very symmetrical which I love...

She was a High Ranking Distinguished Lady, with the finest taste in fashion... And a really lovable personality.

And she is gone for a number of years now... I shamefully admit thinking about her more often than... My own parents.

In my country you need a license for dogs, and each dogs gets a "Dog Tag" + A medical seal of approval ... This is all the Dog Tags my division had in my life before I retire as general.

I had loads of dogs and really miss them all today. But at a certain time you sadly need to know when to slow down.

When I had dogs a license wasn't needed. But nowadays we do need a license to keep a dog.

Very nice looking doggies in this thread.
Hope to see these doggies entered in our mid September Pet of the Month contest.

Our Pet of the Month contest will start accepting entries in just two days. If you have a pet besides fish, we hope you enter it in the contest.
