Tinfoil Barb

Hi,
i will soon have a 110 gallon tank.
i have 1 discus
1 rainbow shark
1 chocolate catfish
1 rubber lip pleco(temporary)
5 congo tetras.
could i put a 2 small tinfoil barbs in that mix?
i might be getting 2 more discus but i'm worried about fighting.
there are 2 at the pet store and i love 'em.
they are like 2 big puppies that live in water.

tinfoils are fin nippers aren't they? They might bother your congo tetras.

i don't know, no one has botherd my male or female congos. if a problem comes up, can move them back to there old home.

can i raise one in a 40 gallon till it's about 6 inches?

Tin foil barbs are fin nippers but 110 should make it ok.

they should be fine but im sure he discus will get lonely

The discus may get lonely, but it likes to hang out with my shark and opaline gourami, and yes, if it seems lonely, i will find a ay to get it with other discus.

my three are huge, redtailed tinfoils,,,,

they never nip fins, but beware they never ever ever stop eating, costs a arm n a leg

Well, If You don't have a budget, I would suggest that you buy another discuss of the oppisite sex of the one you have now off the internet, so you are sure.

Tinfoil Barbs will attempt to eat anything that fits in their mouth and that will include the Gourami if it isn't very big.
