Tin Foil For A Reflector

I've used tin foil in my lighting setup on my community tank, the light output has definitely increased, and the aluminium foil has not broken down that i can see. Just remember to have the shiny side facing the tube.

What kind of planted tank?

Dunno what would you reccomend for a substrate with sand and a 15w bulb? for shelldwellers.

An Echinodorus species would look nice and are not to terribly needy for light. Something like an anubias or any dark green plant is good with low lighting. The bright greens need brighter light, so anything ark is good. Java Moss will grow pretty much with the smallest levels of light.

Just read up about low light plants and choose something nice you like. Elodea Densa is a cheap and low light plant too.
