I haven't been on the forum that long, but at least since I've been here and from what I've seen in other places, you would easily win the award for "worst LFS advice ever" and yet combined with "the most dedicated new fish owner, willing to put in the work and do anything to turn it around".
You were completely open to learn everything and to do whatever needed doing, including 75% daily water changes for weeks! It's easy to forget how much work that is when you haven't had to do it for a while. It's a lot. And then you had to deal with ich, powercuts, more ich, and saying goodbye to the plecos you loved, while finding them the best possible home.
In terms of being absolutely dedicated, steepest learning curve climbed, and how quickly you turned things around, you've done an astonishing job.
*waves from England* Nice to see more of our celtic brothers and sisters here. Apologies on behalf of our ancestors.
