Time to add some fish

Personally, I like C. trilineatus (three-lined cory) c. leucomelas (black-fin cory) and c. panda (panda cory).

Agasizzii are supposed to be nice.

The julii are sometimes mis-labeled trilineatus, so if there's a high price tag, I'd double check.

Another that's highly prized by cory "collectors" is C. sterbai.

Check out Planet Catfish where you can see pics of all those (and tons more) species.

Hi Sorrell :)

In my area kuhli loaches are a feast or famine thing, so it's possible they are sold seasonally. That could account for the back up the online shops have.

Sometimes Emerald Brochis are called Emerald corys, but are a different fish entirely and are larger than most corys. Pandas are smaller than the others and I find they tend to keep to themselves more than most of the others.

The C. sterbai has a nice pattern and bright orange fins. It can tolerate water that is warmer than some of the others, if that matters. They are considered one of the classier cory cats. Here's a picture:

One thing you never have to worry about is having too many corys for the bottom of your tank. As long as the total amount of fish in the tank is within reason, the corys love to be in a big school. They often huddle together in one place, for periods of time, and leave the rest of the bottom empty. :D
