Can anyone think of any tight schooling tetras NOT Rummynose tetras, I already have them on my list :good:
Any suggestions would be helpful.

pH: 6.5 - 7.0
Hardness: Soft
Tankmates: 8 x Congo Tetras, 12 x Rummynose Tetras, 2 x Banded Gouramis, 1 x Bristlenose Catfish, 2 x Umbrella Cichlids.
Tank size: 200 Ltrs

I have a shoal of 8 red eyed tetra. Peaceful, attractive and a fair size. I also have black phantom tetra, they are extremely pretty wit great finnage and are also peaceful. Red eyes seem to prefer the upper layers of my aquarium, think they like the spray bar, black phantoms are a little more shy and prefer the lower reaches. Hope that helps a little.

The thing about schooliing fish is this, they school for a reason, it protects them in the wild. If you have a nice community tak then you will never see the schooling/shoaling that you are after becuase they feel safe.

Good point.
But I mean like Rummynose Tetras shoal anyways, even if they're not threatened. Is there anything like that?

Of all my schooling fish the Neon Tetras, Glowlight Tetras & Lemon Tetras school the best.

Agree with Grant - I have x 10 penguin tetras that look awesome and always school together! :good:

My neon tetras hardly school at all. The only time I can see them all together is when they eat. My old Buenos Aires Tetras actually stuck together fairly well, but they're a bit on the big side for tetras. I've never owned penguins, but the ones I see in stores usually stick tightly together.
