So I made a dumb mistake, I bought a nice tiger lotus about a month ago, and shortly thereafter I noticed some of the leaves began to melt, and no new growth was occurring. So I realized I buried the roots too deep and I pulled the plant and saw that the roots had rotted. Now I have a single runner with a leaf left attached to a bulb with no roots.
So, is it possible that roots will develop, or just toss the plant?
