Tiger Barbs

Hiya peeps just asking around finding out wether or not tiger barbs would be ok with the stock i have already
im looking to buy 4 tiger barbs to go in my 6ft by 3 ft by 3ft tank i currently have
Gold gourami
plain gourami
2 silver sharks
sailfin pleco
common pleco
and advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm no expert on compatibility, but I can't see any issues with adding Tiger Barbs to the stock you already have.

However, TBs are known for being a bit nippy. Keeping them in a larger group is generally recommended, so that they can bicker amongst themselves rather than picking on their tankmates. Since you have a good sized tank, I would suggest a shoal of at least 8 (you can mix up the colour variants if you want).

yeah as long as you get around 4-5 or more tiger barbs they will be to busy paying attention to the other tigers that they willl show very little if any aggression to any other of the fish you have.

The magic number for Tiger Barbs is 6... It helps stop all the aggresion they have and you can mix it up with the albino, green, and regular color barbs (although i have heard that the albino will not group well with the green or regular color barbs but i dont have a problem)

i had 4 and they were nippy towards my platy so i got 6 more and put them in the community tank in my sig and they are fine. I think they are also the most fun to watch out of all my fish.

i think 6 is just to play safe. i never had problems with only 5
