I have three tiger barbs and recently I have spotted them acting weird. Two of them begin "kissing" and head butting each other. The circle around each other for a duration of about 10 minutes. While they do this, they change their colors to an almost black color. What are they doing? Is something wrong?

Nothing wrong as such...

...they are sorting out a 'pecking' order - whose the boss. The one who comes last will often end up getting bullied :/ - It is often recomended to keep them in groups of 6 or more to minimise this problem...

I had 3 tiger barbs. It didnt take long for the action you descrided to take place. The loser ended up stuck in a corner of the tank and wouldnt come out because the other would chase it around until it settled back where it was. A day later the other barb joined him in the same corner with the dominant barb making sure they didnt come out for long. Evan when feeding, the dominant barb would forget there was food if one of the others came out. I added three more barbs and the dominant barb is still at the top of the pecking order but he can no longer single the others out because of the numbers. Also, they are doing much better with their tankmates because they are worried about the other barbs. They will still dance around every now and then but it doesnt last long and Ive have not noticed any damage to any of mine. Good luck.

That is just normal mine do that from time to time. so don't worry about it. :D 8)
