ok so i have 7 tigers and they seem to copy my other fishes behaivor..at first they wouldnt eat food from the bottom of the tank but when they saw the algae eaters eating at the bottom the copied them and they usually would have stayed at the middle at the tank but when the tiger saw the guppies swimming at the top of the tank they now swim at the top,lol their bahaivor amases me:)

yeah they're really fun to watch, mine chase each other in and out of my plants like they're playing a game

i hope ur barbs are not in with ur guppies. from experience i know.. they will eat your guppies tails..

That doesn't happen all the time though, most people who report tiger barbs doing things like that keep them in too small a group.
They are nippy though and every shoal of tiger barbs has it own group dynamics, in some tanks they will be aggressive, in some they wont.

well i dont wana steal this post but i was wonding if 6-7 tigers would do ok in a 29g with a pair of kribs and mayb some juhli corys

Should do, the more the better. I always reccomend 8 as a minimum number to stop them being aggressive, but 7 should be fine :good: .

Mine are in with a pleco and a pictus and they eat off the bottom too. They are very cool fish.

I used to have tiger barbs in with clown loaches. Both very funny fish, especially when both groups began shoaling together :)

normal behaviour. besides if there's no harm done, its really fun to watch.

Love my tigar barbs yes the more the better, some people say that they nip the fins of their fish. i reckon the ones i have are exceptions they don't mess with my other fish.
