Thumbnails Images No Longer Appear?

When I used to view my pictures downloaded from phone or canera on my laptop I used to be able to see what pics they were by the thum,bnail images, now I just have a flower image which makes shuffling pics to different folders very timeconsuming.

I;ve obviously changed the settings somehow

what can I do to change this?

If this is Vista, it's kind of quirky. I have had that happen a few times, sometimes a restart fixes it and sometimes it fixes itself when I browse through the file. But there's a way you can pick which thumbnail you want to display. Just right-click on the file > properties > customize and click on the "choose file" button under "Folder pictures" and pick an image to show. I believe this also works in 7.
