Those are beautiful fish. I love Plakats and those are three really amazing samples. Probably even better up close. Since they come from Kelson's I would assume each one is show quality. Every Kelson's fish I have seen here is show quality.

The trio originally costed about SGD$60 each. After some chitchatting (Kelson's very knowledgable and there's heaps to talk about bettas), buying a pair of colourful betta fridge magnets (SGD$5 a piece) and some bargaining, I got the 3 fish for SGD$150. Hee... hee... hee...

Kelson's an honest chap. I originally wanted a male double tail in his shop but he refused to sell the fish to me, highlighting that there was some swelling under the left pectoral fin (looked like a small tumour). Where can you find a businessman with such integrity? He won over my cash and my trust.

He also had a few fish that were on display but sold to buyers from overseas. One of them was a male melano half-moon plakat (with very nice black and neat finnage) heading for Indonesia.

I am not surprised about your findigns on Kelson's personality. He came over here last year and I saw how caringly he handled his fish. Gives you the feeling it is more than just a business to him. Every Kelson's fish I have ever seen has been top grade.

Still dont have one though. Best fish I have is from Stingrays Betta.

Am a bit surprised, Kelsons also sells his fish at 60 Singapore Dollars here (Php2,000). Was thinking might be cheaper there, but I guess he tried to lower the price here as much as possible to take into account Philippine economuc conditions, which are... well not too good.
