So this is getting annoying... it happens in all forums, doesn't seem to matter which topic, when, how many replies etc. I click on the topic to load it and I get the dark blue banner with the yellow fish and FishForums.net. Below that there's the lighter Tropical Fish Forever home, General Rules, Aquarium Calculator, Live Chat, Calendar, Members, Search, Help, and then the pale blue 'logged in as LauraFrog with controls.' Below that, is just white. It doesn't have the Tropical Fish Forums > Category > Forum > Thread or the actual thread.

Anybody know what's going on? I use internet explorer 6 on XP.

It is probably at your end. Could be a bad connection to the ISP.

Try using Firefox or Opera. It might not solve the problem, but it will give you a browser with far fewer security holes in it. :)

No problems for me. How long hae you been having the problem? Could be as simple as just needing to reboot.

Mine does it sometimes, i simply just refrsh the page and it comes up properly..

What i did to sort it, is... go to your (my controls) once in there, add that link to your favourites, use that when you want to visit the forum... mine is perfect that way :)

Yeah in IE 6 they have some timeout things they do, but do not tell the end-user about them. It would possibly happen when the servers are being heavily loaded and can not process the rest of the page. Usually a refresh should fix it.

Firefox is the way to go or safari (apparently its supposed to be very good) for browsers, unless you have the new IE in vista.

The new IE is still linked too closely to the OS for most people to be happy wth.

I tried Safari when I first got the Macs, but wasn't massively impressed with it. I quite liked Opera when I ran my main computer on linux, but it didn't have a 64 bit version, which annoyed me somewhat.

I'd try clearing your cache of stored pages/files first. Then clear all the board cookies. Log back on and see if you still have an issue.

Are you still having problems with this?
And, if so, do you have Google Toolbar installed?
A while back there was a Windows Update that caused conflicts with in IE6 & IE7 and certain versions of Google Toolbar.
If you have Google Toolbar installed, I would suggest uninstalling it via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and then download/install the latest version from Google's website.
I had to do this at work on several PCs and it resolved the issue it straight away

Yes, it could be that a bad DNS entry has been cached at some point.
Close down IE.
Go to the command prompt and type ipconfig /flushdns
Once you see the message stating the DNS Resolver has been succesfully flushed, close out of the command prompt screen and re-open your internet browser
