Actually your plec would be more likely to harm the stingray, plecs and rays should never be kept in the same tanks as plecs seem to have a bit of a fetish for stingray slime. The rays are very sensative to any damage and if a plec removes any of their slime coating they pick up infections almost immiediatly, usually killing the ray . A arowana will probably need a larger tank in the end, silver arowana's can hit 48" when full grown and even the smaller species such as blacks and jardini's can reach 30".

What are the dimensions of your new tank? The ammount of floor space is important for how many cichlids you cant safely stock, for instance a tank that is 24" tall and 30" wide can hold more fish than a tank that is 30" tall and 24" wide, large aggressive cichlids will require between 40 and 60 gallons of water per fish!

it is 72 x 24 x 28 high. i don't want huge fish like an arrowana. just big enough not to resemble bait to my hubby. and colorful, he seems to like that. and i did promise him i would put something in this one that he would like.

1 Jaguar Cichlid (See my signature) 1 Trimac and other oddballs like silver dollars or somthing, but if your after big agressive very colorful cichlids your looking at enough space for maybe 3 of them. Show us your pictures once you have thempls.

Iv got one word for ya Pacu.That is what I would get if I had a tank that big. Ya couldnt really put one in anything smaller than that. Your tank would be the perfect size. And they are so cute and friendly.

210 is way to small for a pacu. They like being in groups, and the smaller red belly pacu requires a minimum of a 500 gallon tank, the black ones even more.

Great tank, I wish my house had room for large tanks, but it was not designed with fish keeping in mind ( I'm currently trying to put a 75 gallon in the dining room wall).
