i just got back from the lfs. i bought a 210 gal with stand lights gravel, filters everything but plants fish and rocks. guess that will teach hubby to whine when i accidently buy a new betta tank i am so excited, i have to pick it all up tomorrow cause i have to take all the seats out of my van to bring it all home. i can't wait.

now i just have to figure out what to put in it besides my pleco any suggestions? i definitly want some kind of good sized brightly colored cichlids.

You gotta get some oddball fish in there! maybe a nice eel!!
And a big lobster!! Oh and African butterflys!!!

You should do a fishless cycle! Then you can stock it almost full when its done!!
It will avoid teritorial battles between your fish!!

Jack Dempseys and Green Terrors are big colourful cichlids. Also, Severums are beautiful cichlids too.

210 gallons.........ahh, I WISH....i would put a Fresh Water Sting Ray...That would be cool!! then maybe some top dwellers like arrowana's or sumthin then get something else for the middle.

get a tigrinus(tiger shovelnose) and a blue arrowna. and some cool chiclids.

Yeah, go with the Arowana. I'd never seen one until the other day, they are AWESOME!!! they had a display tank in a LFS i went in, it had 2 massive ones, and a couple of Stingrays, plecs, some fronts, and a few eartheaters. it looked amazing. I'd go for that.
As for Cichlids, I have an eartheater, and a severum, both are big, and both are cool colourful fish that would go great in that tank!!

i have a very good lfs. was only $1600 for everything. course there are not plants or fish in there yet

stingrays sound cool, but would they hurt my pleco? he is the whole reason i talked my husband inot this. they only fish he likes, says the rest look like bait. so i told him i couldn't keep it without a really big tank for him to live in.

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.... how bout you put in like 2 guppies 2 platts and 2 mollies and see how long it takes to have a full tank!!!
