what do think of this i think it is shocking it could fall of any time and it doesnt look that strong to me and the fish is all alone with hardly any room

the stick is propley not a stick at all! and it's propely alot stronger than it look's! there doing that to create a illusion to trick people to think that it's going to fall at any minute. and the bowl could be a 1 gallon. oh and thats a betta in the bowl so if two where in there (any gender) they would fight.

I think it's pretty and it looks bigger than some of the containers bettas are kept in. That straggly looking plant doesn't add anything though.

The thing I might be concerned about is that if the bowl is hung high on the wall, the temperature might be warmer than normal. If it fluctuates too much, it could be a problem.

I think its nice correct me if I am wrong but bettas like small terratories dont they, to big terratories stress them out , I think.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken that is/was part of the 'free roaming betta' robotic thingys... Theres a little movement sensor in the tank, and the tank moves according to which direction the fish swims in. Thats why it's not a twig or plant, but the arm of a craney type thing.

if it is that free roaming thing thats really cool.

as far as it being sturdy i think it's fine as long as it's in a good place like above a desk or shelf where he won't be knocked around. bettas are hardy, mine lived in a betta bowl for 2 and a half years :/

It is indeed part of an art project called Mediated Encounters. The same artist is planning a more interesting (in my opinion) piece in which there are fish tanks in a room with cameras inside and they project a fish-eye view of the outside world onto the walls of the room, like you're in the fish bowl looking out. :D

As for the size of the tanks, my guess would be .5 gallon. Not too terrible.

EDIT: Here's another of the artist's projects in which the fish can actually move their tanks around the room in their own little robotic tank stands!

At the risk of being shot down in flames, I think this is another example of an attempt to make money with a gimmick that appeals to the owner, rather than a consideration for the "tank's" occupant. It's about on a par with the living picture concept, or the table-top tanks that appeared some time ago.

There is no owner, it's an art installment. They don't live in that all the time.

it looks like a female betta and they dont need much space :)
