Mark - there are tonnes of fish shops around that have "fish on holiday" written on the display tanks. Im sure you could convince one of them to take your pets on for a while. Also, Remind them that a good set-up makes people wanna buy more! they could even take the setup off you for 6 months as a display and you'd only charge them £££ a month....

..theres gotta be a way to do it without selling.

Have to agree, if you have a favourite fish and his pal then you should try and keep them if at all possible - adopted by someone here, on hols somewhere anything rather than lose a fish you are attached to. The tank will sell for a decent price even if you edit the listing to remove a couple of fish.

im hoping to get saved by my tax return!!! i have set a reserve price ( secretly hoping it wont be met lol ) . even if it does sell for the reserve i will get some sort of tank out of the procedes to "tide me over" in an ideal world it will sell for about 800 and then i can order another tank and have some money in the coffers too!!

i work in construction as a banksman mate. im looking at other work too. . will look into seeing about finding somebody to foster vinny temporarily . .altho to be honest its all my fish i want to keep. be a long time trying to find another blue acara as good as mine .

well i have had a temporary reprieve. filed my tax return and im gonna get a few hundred quid back. so the tank can stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have set a stupidly high reserve so it wont sell.

honestly, I agree with the (somewhat) above.....go through the attic, the basement, you are bound to have crap up there you forgot about. with my house, if I make a list of whats up there (while im not up there) and then go up and have a look...if its been up there untouched long enough for me to forget about it....then I dont need it.
