I had to reply to this post even though it not a new post i did read it when it first was posted,i have just today walking on my street seen one of my neighbours with a blender in her window in full sunlight containing a goldfish i was horrified,so whet ever she is on a looser if the blades in the blender dont slice the fish up the sun will boil the poor little mite.Im going on there later when she gets home to try persuade her to get it out of there.I never thaught i would actually see it for myself other than in the pic on this post.How dumb can people be?

That is wrong on so many level, do they have any feelings or anything, what if i put them in a blender and see how they feel, that is horrible, trust me, i dont feel easy letting out on of my babie swordtail into my tank because of my algae eater, and it is way old enough to come out, not let alone put it in a blender, i cant begin to show you how disgusted i am at that!

Yes i went round but things didnt look good the poor fish hat a torn tail an little raw wounds on its side obviously from where it had brushed up against the blades.I told her that it was totally inapropriat (spelling sorry) to keep a fish in there and it should be moved out into a larger tank even told her where to get the tank at the lowest price an explained a little about the water conditions it needed and offerd to lend her some dechlorinater an stress coat an stress zyme till she could get some.
following day when i saw her she told me she didnt need a new tank cos the fish was dead.....What a supprise ...NOT .
Poor little fish,i wish i had seen it sooner.I did try at least.

I went to a LFS I visit often today....last time I was there there were 3 dead platies in the tank....TODAY....the same dead ones were still in the same tank...that and 2 platies without a tail.....

Suffice it to say, I won't be going there anymore, not even to purchase supplies (which they did have at a good price)...I'd rather buy from somewhere more expensive than buying from them and condoning the way they treat their fish..

As I always say....if you want to look after fish and be a good fishkeeper, get live fish....if you just want something pretty to look at get a poster for your wall!!
