Thinking Of Going Nano

heya trod

I was going to buy that tank, its very very good imo

has 2 inbuilt powerheads, my LFS has a tank stocked on display, thats the tank i saw on ebay, but came with an RO unit, live rock, water, heaters, and spare powerheads with stand for £200.oo!

its a snazzy tank, youtube the tank :)

heya buddy

I agree 110%, this site is the BOMB! ;)

also, ill keep an eye out for you :)

whats your limit for the tank? and will you collect if needed be a bargain ^^?

i've been looking all night and i've desided to save and save for a couple of months so i can have the cash to buy as i need from buying the tank on... the mistake i made when i started this very addictive hobby was that i only had the cash to get the basics. when i get the next tank i want to have the cash to be able to do what i want rather then the cash dicating what i can do!

you guys have been a huge help and i'll be back with more questions as i research this part of the hobby more and more. i really need to get my head round how to start and run a marine. i really don't want to go out and buy a tank with only a little knowledge.

We're all here to help, I think you have made a wise decision, its very easy to get carried away with it all, I find most of the fun is in the research and planning, making sure you get what is right for you is important. Its an expensive hobby you need to get right :good:

Make lots of lists, I had so many when I first started I could have wallpapered a complete room

Believe this, I am sitting at my desk with lists coming out of my ears, whats worse is my print cartridge has run out. Therefore all my CUC and fish lists and coral lists, equipment lists, lists of water stats, you name it, it is here somewhere in a u shape around me. I have started 3 notebooks, just trying to write down info that I will need in the next n weeks. My tank has been set up 2 and a half weeks, this is without the bits saved here there and everywhere on my computer.

I guess being a virgo I cannot live without them, but lists are good. They are good for writing down questions as you are reading too, then you can come back and ask.

I will stop rambling now, good luck with the research and saving :good:

Is it safe yet?.....has Tiger stopped rambling? ..hehehehee :D

But of course Tiger is correct! make notes, lists, enjoy reading on the net ..you have the biggest resourse
at your finger tips ,dont get depressed at failures just see em as a challenge and things will come together..
i started reading up around sept 08 but i must admit i have been reading up on marines for 2 years as
my friend had one and i learned a lot from his sucsesses and his failures..but i made notes then ..and just got
seffie and trod and big c and ben to add to my needed lists....
it'll all come together and it may seem that its taking ages to come together but when it starts! you wont have time to remeber all the
notes ..hehehe i lost mine hehe

I only have a fish only tank and I have found that you spend a LOT more than you originally plan to! It's all because you want it to look fantastic and can't just settle for basic things.

Keep saving up your money, read up on water conditions etc then you could even look around through newspaper adverts or ebay as you never know someone could be breaking down their tank and you can get some real bargains on ebay! I'm saving again now so I can buy a longer tank to hold more fish and coral but I know I can't do that for a good couple of months yet and it gives me a chance to see that I can cope with just fish let alone coral! =]
