As truck says, the SG of the water will drop with a temperature increase, so you want to either mix the salt at 25 centigrade, or use a refractometer that automatically adjusts for temperature differences

thanks. i dont think i will be able to get my live rock tommorow as my lfs does not sell it. it only stocks marine fish. would it be ok to after i get my temprature right and sltiny right to put the coral sand in before i put any LR in.

i would put the sand in after because the sand will give the rock extra stabiliy preventing rock falls, and it should stop burrowers from being able to burrow if theres no sand under the rock.
