im thinking of getting a pleco. heres what i got in my tank so far....

2 Balloon Mollys
6 Mollys
4 Bolivian Rams
2 Keyhole cichlid.

I got an 180 litre tank with bogwood.

I was thinking of either getting an Hypancistrus sp. L340/(Mega Clown Pleco or an Albino Ancistrus dolichopterus, both of these are available locally to me. Would any of these be ok with the fish I got already and be ok in my tank once fully grown.

What would be the best one for me to get?

thanks

Danny

i would reccomend the bristlenose but whichever is smaller is the best for that tank

Both plecs would be fine in the tank, the obvious choice to me would be the BN but dependant on how the tank is setup and temp kept will determine which plec really would be the best option.

the 340 will like temps in the low to mid 80's where as the BN will prefer it cooler and probably more in the range of the tank temp your currently running.

I'd go for a bristlenose, i have one and they don't grow to big which makes them great for aquariums. They are fine with pretty much every community fish and don't bother anyone. They even share food with my loaches, guppies and gouramis.

I have a breeding trio of bn's and an aquarium full of juvy's. They are in with gouramis, platys and mollies. They graze together on the algae tablets and courgette and are a great addition to any tank. I've got browns and albinos. Superb fish!

For BN's or any similar sucker mouths, you would need a substrate that does not have rough edges

go for the BN.
there great pleco's to start with in any aquarium set-up.
tho i started with a common pleco...
and just up-graded as he grew...you could always try that if it works better for you.
most pleco's grow slowly what ever pleco it is.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS :D
