Not sure I followed that. Could you quantify an example of what you would have to do without CO2 vs having CO2?

Which one requires more or less frequent dosing? With or without the CO2...assuming I'm using 1.5 w/g.

I don't think you'll be able to go without co2 at 1.5wpg. dosing will always be higher with co2, low co2 should always be avoided though.

Just wondering, the solenoid on the German Kit (from ebay) - is it ok to just change the plug or is there a problem with the voltage etc ?

Yeah, the germans use the same voltage as far as I can tell so I just lopped the plug off and put a new one on. I've not had any problems at all.
