Would a few cories be ok in a 75gal with two firemouths, a severum, 7 tiger barbs, a blue gourami, and a bristlenose pleco? I've never had any but always thought they were so cute. If they won't be happy in my tank than no big deal, just thought I'd ask. :)

the firemouth can be a bit fresh and the severum might end up eating the small cory cats. So I don't think it's the best idea.

Cute baby by the way. I have a 6 month old.

Sorry, I just saw that you replied! Thank you! That's my baby boy, Dylan. He's 7 months old (today) and he's the light of my life. :)

Little kids are the best, and so cute that this age. My little girl is sitting my my lap right now. Does he like the fish? Zoe loves to try and touch them when they swim up to us. If she is being fussy I just bring her to the fish and she calms down.

IME larger corys should be fine, You'll find many of us cichlid keepers here, keep Corys with them without any problems,

Just give them a few hiding places where they can retreat to

Dylan LOVES the fish! He likes to put his hand on the tank and watch the tiger barbs try to eat it. It's so cute. I think he doesn't understand why he can't grab the fish. The other day he smacked his head on the aquarium and I'm convinced he was trying to eat the fish! Oh, it's a good thing he's cute!

I might carefully try some.... If I would have added the fish in a different order it would have probably been easier but after losing all my fish tragically, I was in a hurry to replace them. I wasn't even looking for firemouths but the store didn't have severums so I grabbed the fm's just to have something in the tank!
