Things That Eat Fish Poo?

Those of you who rebuking this person for looking for poop eating fish should shut up. Although to my knowledge there aren't any poop eating aquarium critters, there is no problem with trying to be more efficient. I have heard if you have trouble with poo try shrimp snails and plants out in your tank. I have heard this addition to any tank can really help with moving the poop around so the plants can use it up. But if you have cichlids, this is probably not for you, as cichlids will eats the shrimp and snails and tear the plants.

You do realise this thread is four years old, Skal?

Still the best 'cure' for excess poo is more substrate cleaning, and possibly addition of a powerhead to improve flow towards the filter. No living creature should be added to an aquarium just for cleaning up; that's the owner's job.

You are always going to have to perform tank maintenance weither it be fish poo, uneaten food or plant debris. It goes with the territory. If you arn't prepared to do this then perhaps you should have bought a picture of an aquarium.
Sorry to sound sooo harsh but thats the way things are, you are trying in a sense to replicate nature in your living room therefore it involves a certain amount of elbow grease.
I apologise once again if I sounded too direct.

surely if he wanted to replicate nature to its fullest he should leave the poo where it is??
