my mbu who is approx
3" has stopped eating. He was fine a couple of weeks ago but just seemed
to stop for no reason. I have done countless water tests which have all
come out perfect, his teeth are not over grown and he was eating really
well a few weeks ago. He currently looks withdrawn and anorexic and i am
at a loss of what to do. He seems to want to eat but when he approaches
his food he just stops and does nothing. i thought at first that he had
a prolem with his mouth but i just dont know. My other fish in the tank
are fine its just him.Any help would be much appreciated as i am at a loss. i am currently
trying Myxazin (supposed to help fin rot, body rot, ulcers, cloudy eyes,
etc, to see if this will help him.

My mub has a vaired diet (cockles, muscles, bloodworm etc &live shimp
which he loved) But he toches nothing at the moment although he looks
like he really wants to.

Help.........
als o was given the name of a fish shop called wharf aquatics and the person that i spoke to said to put salt in the water, and that this was the best thing to do and to stay away from putting any sort of chemicals in tank?????

I dont know why anyone would recomend salt (sodium chloride) to treat MBU puffers as they are quite intollerent of salt in their water and this is likely to do more harm than good.
From the symptoms i would suspect internal parasites which are a common problem in MBU puffers and would recomend a course of Waterlife Sterazin used as half dose (as directed on the bottle).
