Hi I got three baby apples for a pound today at the market as they had thin shells caused by the soft water they where kept in
anyone know how I can build these little guys up a bit as my water is quite soft as well although my other snails have been ok in the past and laid and hatched eggs
cheers in advance scot :)

cheers for that will look in to those just read up some more and as i keep birds it seems that cuttlefish bone will help of which i have a supply
regards scot

hi thanx for your advice but i will use cuttle fish
I have been assured that the ones i have been using for the last 20 years are not cleaned with ammonia and that even if they where having a large fully cycled filter would help negate this problem
however if they where cleaned using copper i would not use them of coarse
to be on the safe side I will soak them prior to use in a bucket of water from a change leave a week then get the test out to see what its done
regards scot :)
