I got one of thoughs paper sort of thermoters lol just wndering why does it have 3 different marking (23,24,25 and sometiemes 26)

dont bother using them, get an internal one,,or better still a battery opperated one which has a sensor in the water,,,,its so good,very acuate

Try a dollar store. You can get good glass ones dirt cheap. Easy to read, pretty much foolproof.

I'll second a digital thermometer. Mine are easy to read and very accurate.

yea pound shop,,,,wilkinsons,,,places like that,,,,
those ones that go on the outside take room temp aswell, my one which is stuck on tank from previous owner says 30c,,,,,my inside one says 25c my battery sensor temp thingy says 25c

Buy a glass one thats floats or suckers to the side of the tank, about £2 i think i paid, maybe even cheaper then that.

£2 won't hurt when i go to buy my water testing kit and maybe some corys and have a look round i'll buy one. I wish my dad was rich lol then i could hire an expert at fishkeeping to give me advice (you guys are just as good though) and also have loads of tanks.
