There's Something Wrong With My Amazon Sword

Just remember if you go with flourish excel for CO2 don't ovetdose. This will melt your leaves. You're actually better off statting with a half dose and slowly increasing. This is esp. important for vals but any plant can br killed by too much excel.
Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. I've been wary about the excel anyway because I've noticed more algae on my tank after I dose the excel. I don't know if there's any correlation between that and the algae bloom, but it seems awfully coincidental. I ordered some fertilizer tabs today. My swords are definitely looking worse. I may end up just having to replace them.

The leaves won't recover, so you can trim them.
Algae could be fluctuating "CO2" or a lack of nutrients required by the adding of extra carbon.
The only tabs worth using that they sell are the osmocote ones - these should contain plenty of Nitrate, Phosphate, Potassium, Trace and ammonia - or you could save money and just buy some Osmocote from a garden centre.

IMO

I do this with osmocote and an icecube tray. Makes it easier to get the under the substrate.
