There's no community on this forum imo..

I'm on a reptile forum which is about the same size, and there's always meets.... I actually went to tales for one last week.

But yeh... there needs to be one

And don't say the live chat... it mucks up my laptop!

aye plenty of people come on from work too and can browse a forum but not get on msn or live chat.

I know that it has been done to death and the mod's have said never again...... forum's grown a bit since the decision was made, got new mods and stuff. wondering if it's time to review the decision perhaps. I know there are some mods who are for and against it all with valid reasons. Why not have another discussion amongst the active mods now to see if they'd be prepared to mod it?

Could just do a trial period for a month or two and remove it if it becomes a hassle again?

there used to be one. it was removed when it proved to be impossible for members to behave in an adult manner, when having a heated discussion, which was often. its a shame, I'm not sure i agree, but i do understand. just look at a few of the spats we have in the fish keeping sections and multiply by three to get an idea of the problem.

Also, why doesn't William just appoint new mods, but only for the Off-Topic section?

I think this board is a great source of information and covers almost everything related to tropical fish, but sometimes people want to take time out and have fun with the people they have met on here. All work and no play is not condusief...condusice...condisiv.....oh #### it, its not very nice.

I would like to perosnally appeal to William (i think he is head honcho in these here parts) for a subsection to allow us to let our hair down, bond with our fellow members and in general have a little fun.

It would be easier to have the fun poking and comical quips in one place rather than go off on a tangent in multiple threads, i also think it would make a lot of people happy. there seems to be enough interest and it would be very much appreciated.
