Yippee!!! I order a few new pairs of bettas and they finally arrived in the mail today!! (I was beginning to worry because they were supposed to arrive yesterday, but the mail was being slow. :grr: ) Anyway, so far so good....they are floating in their bags and I am slowly adding water from their new tanks, so they can get accustomed to the new water conditions. I also gave them a few bloodworms and they gobbled them right up! I will post a few pictures once I get them in their new tanks!!

Well, I was able to snap a few photos of the new fishies. These pics are really, really poor...but I am not used to the lighting in that room, so bare with me till I get more practice.

Anyways this is the male...he is a potential HM and is a blue BF with a little red in his fins, too. Unfortunately, it appears that he nipped at his tail during his journey, but there is a small amount of aquarium salt in the tank and I will give him extra TLC, so he should be fine a few weeks....

awwww, they're too cute  Taking betta pics is tricky, the only tip I can give is take them at night when the room is dark with a lamp to the side or on the other side of the room so the betta can still see who he's flaring at (they usually flare like crazy in the dark anyway),this way you can still kinda see the betta flaring/displaying and use a flash tilting the camera up or down (depends on how high of a stand he/shes on) and to the side at a left or right angle. The angle is to avoid the flash showing up in the pic. That usually works for awesome betta pics.

I wanna see his color :*

Thanks for the tips Wuv. I tried taking a few more pictures and they are a tad better...so here we go...

This is the other female I received (I didn't actually order her but she has fin problems and got for free...I think she is aborable) her name is Willow...
