What a pitty for you and your fish--I just hope you don't "dicipline" your cat too hard. They instinctively reach for things that move, just as bettas instinctively attack other male bettas. A really secure lid and an untipable bowl setup (the 10 gallons would be perfect!) will enable your cat to look in and the fish to flare back at him defiantly (at least that's what mine do! I'm sorry about your fish (especially if he's your 1st betta?) They have wonderful little personallities, and none are exactly the same. Will you rescue another little fish-boy?
