The Waiting Game

DOH!! they look so cuteeee :D I  them

Im all freaked out now, since my last pack was a DOA......and I think synirr send the new package to my house :( , Im going to be in school and no one is going to be home, Im scared

Im going 2morrow to the postofffice to see if they are there :/ if not I have to go agiant friday :X

I was lucky they got here so fast, I'm actually quite impressed with the post office :) They were mailed out on Monday, and got here Wednesday morning. They had a short trip ^_^

I'm going to go thaw a bunch of bloodworms (even though they probably can't eat more than three ^_^) so everyone gets a nice meal. My other guys'll be happy, because they're not due to be fed a snack for another 7 hours, and not due for a big meal for 14! If the batteries didn't die, I'll take a few more shots ^^

Well, that didn't take long. I'm already worried. The girls were pale when I got them, but got very bright when I started floating them, and for the first 45 minutes they were in the tank... Now they've gone pale and lethargic again. I'll keep a close eye on them, and if they are still pale in an hour or so, I'll move them to the emergancy tank and completly scrub theres out. It's an old tank that has never housed fish, so there could be something up with it. I did completly clean it before hand, but ya never know - I might have missed something.

Don't worry their just getting used to their new home. And they might be stressed out more from being transported so it might take them awhile to get used to the tank life and maybe the other girls are bullying them when your not looking or maybe their intimatdated by the other girls size? You never know?

Ditto Durbkat. They're probably just adjusting to their new surroundings.
Keep an eye out to make sure their big sisters aren't picking on them!

They are not with the other girls, they need a few weeks of quarenteen before they can have contact. They were just bagged in there whilst I was doing a water change on their tank.

And normally when they are getting used to their new homes, they are not active for a long period of time, and THEN become pale and lethargic. Hense why I'm worried.

I heard on this website www.bettatalk.com the author faith said she has a 60g tank with male and some females in the same tank and they don't breed or fight they are all brothers and sisters and she said the tank looks awesome with all the males and females in one tank but she also says that she wouldn't reccommend it because she got very very lucky.

I thing trying to do that would be irrisponsible, unless you're willing to take on the possibility of 300 accidental babies and willing to watch your fish kill eachother. A male and a female is no more likely to work than a male and a male. If you want more than one, stick to a sororiety.

Ya dirty hijackers :D
