I loved watching the picture tour, always wanted to know what the embrace looked like before my female betta gets some action Can you perhaps get a clearer pic of mom and dad(doesn't have to be embracing) just so we can predict what the fry will look like?

Ok Here is the Male. The Male is Not a True Giant, but Most Likely a Libby Strain.

The Female is Just a Large Blue Female, Thought she was a Male Plakat when I 1st Got Her.

Thats the Female Stunned from the Embrace.
When he Embraces her the water around them Vibrates. It does not show up in the pix.

OH DUH! I can be such a goof sometimes. early morning brain farts are aloud once in a while I guess.

She is not very Photogenic ATM, as she has been bashed about by the male alot thru the Spawning.

Yes, very. They sometimes do quite a bit of fin damage to each other. A shot of bettamax will clear that right up

I saw on a website a breeding facility in Thialand,they put pairs of bettas to breed in giant clay/stone pots and put the lid on them and forget about them for a few days,check on them every so often and eureka,they spawn successfully.

That was What the Male Looked like when i 1st Got Him.

He hasn't changed that much since then apart from his Tail Regrowing Fully, All his other fins are like in the Picture.

I bread them in a Large 3.0 Ltr Tupperware Tub. £0.99p from the 99p Store. It works fine and I Didn't Conditon the Female they just did it int he space of a Day.



Also, He keeps Brealing up the Nest and Building it Again, IS this Normal, and so most of the eggs have fallen out and are laying on the plants and the bottom of the tank.
Should i Suck them up and place them back in the Nest.

He has Completely Destroyed the egg nest and all the eggs have gone to the bottom of the tank.

at least they got that far... i leave mine for a few days and nothing even happens... better luck next time.. looks like ya know what your doin.. things will work out soon hopefully...

maybe try a different male.... maybe he was just young and didnt know how to do everything properly
